YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel special stamp out now
Hongkong Post issued today (7 May 2013) a set of six special stamps on “Revitalisation of Historic Buildings in Hong Kong”, depicting the historical background of the six historic buildings under Batch I of the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme, including Mei Ho House, and their usage after revitalisation, with the objective of enhancing public understanding of the conservation and revitalisation of historic buildings.
The HK$1.4 stamp features the significant “H-shaped” layout of YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel and, on the right, a globe, a map and a rucksack, to symbolise travel. These special stamps are available at all post offices and Hongkong Post “ShopThruPost” website from 7 May 2013, while stock lasts.
